
SFSCL: Hurricane will be looking to start the new years with a bang when the take on their arch rival Hustlers Cricket Club in the fall season division one final on Sunday January 3rd, 2016 at the Miramar Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale.
This final had been pushed back to the New Year due to bad weather in mid-December when it was schedule for. Hustlers who is fresh off a record win against President in the first of the two semifinal will again be relying heavily on the inform Keshan Budhna who scored a brisk 65 against President in their semi-final match and United States international star player Steven Taylor who scored an attractive 69 in the same match.
Hustlers set a play-off record in that semifinal scoring 315/8 with three of the batsmen scoring half centuries. They will again be relying on their bating stars to do well as their bowling is well below par throughout the season.
Hurricanes made lite work of Outlaws Cricket Club in the other semi-final match are no stranger to this big stage; they will look to take their late season momentum into the final.
They will be relying on their natural ability to work together as a team and create pressure on the opponent. Hurricanes has a more balance team and is led by an experience captain Marvin Sukhnandan will be looking to use their superior bowling line-up led by Ansar Buksh and Michael Rengasami to pick-up early wickets or restrict the Hustlers hard hitting batsmen from scoring fast.
Hustlers bowling line-up will again be under pressure to perform, they have not done much during the regular season games. Hustler’s bowlers were so much out of form that only one of their bowler was rank in the top 20 at the end of the regular season.
