Sunshine State Softball Cricket Association forms Youth League

At the recently concluded executive meeting held at the popular Tropics Restaurant in Hollywood, Florida, The Sunshine State Softball Cricket Association decided to expand the association with the formation of the Sunshine State Softball Cricket Youth League.

 This youth membership will include all players less than 16 years old and will operate under the leadership and guidance of the SSSCA. There is no cost to become a members but all members must abide by the constitution and by-laws of the SSSCA.

 Mr. Dave Singh, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer of the SSSCA and manager of the Southwest Cricket Club will be heading the youth league with assistance from Mr. Lloyd Persaud, Secretary of the SSSCA and manager of the Lucky City Cricket Club and Mr. Frank Ali, manager of the Reliance Wanderers Cricket Club.

 Mr. Lancelot Richard Gibbs, Guyanese and West Indies legend and one of the world most successful spin bowlers will be assisting with the coaching along with Mr. Ramnaresh Ronnie Sarwan, former captain of Guyana and West Indies cricket team and our own South Florida & West Indies living legend Mr. Lawrence Rowe.

 There will be 4 clinics held during the remainder of this year throughout South Florida with the 1st being held at the Southridge Cricket Ground.  This will be followed by a clinic at West Park Ground,  Deerfield Beach; Veterans Park, South Lehigh Acres and the 4th clinic held at Silver Shores Park, Miramar, Florida.
